Study on Thermal Effects of LD Side-pumped Nd∶YAG Laser

The thermal effects of laser diode side-pumped N d∶YAG laser are studied.Temperature distribution in YAG crystal is obta ined by heat exchange equation,thermal stress and thermal stress birefringence in YAG crystal are analyzed,the figures of thermal focus length,laser waist and far-field beam divergent angle dependence on pump power are received.
