Laser Diode Side-pumped CW Nd∶YAG and Nd∶GdVO_4 Lasers

LIU Yuanyuan ,FANG Gaozhan,MA Xiaoyu, XIAO Jianwei (Institute of Semiconductors, CAS,Beijing 100083, China)  
A new design of LD sidepumped laser head and compared the InputOutput character with the old pump structure by using Nd∶YAG as laser material are Introduced,a new crystal named Nd∶GdVO4 in the new laser head structure is experiment and the output of 42.6W in 1064nm and the optical efficiency of 23.7% is obtained.
