Study of LD End Pumped Q-switched Single Frequency Laser

A frequency-stability ring Nd∶YVO_4 laser end pumped by a laser diode through fiber-coupling was designed and experimentally demonstrated.A passive Q-switched single-frequency laser was also achieved in a ring cavity by inserting a piece of Cr~(4+)∶YAG as an intracavity laser pulse saturable absorber.The Q-switched single-frequency laser pulse duration was measured to 100ns and the repetition rate was 21kHz.
