Difference-frequency generation of near-IR by type-Ⅱ non-critical phase-matched technique

The device that generate near infrared radiation by difference-frequency is reported. This device uses1. 064 μm LD as signal light and 0. 56 ~ 0. 71 μm dye laser as pumped light. High power tunable near infrared laser was generated through nonlinear LBO crystal,and its wavelength range is 1. 4 ~ 2. 2 μm. Difference-frequency generation was realized under type-Ⅱ phase-matched through temperature-tuned non-critical phase-matched( NCPM). The average power output is above 35 m W,and laser conversion efficiency reaches 12. 2% at 1. 6 μm. This device has the characteristics of broad tunable range and narrow linewidth,and can be widely used in many applications.
