Research on the Impact of Feed Price Fluctuation on Pig Breeding Cost

SHEN Jia-yan;WANG Fang;ZHANG Xiao-hua;College of Management Sichuan Agricultural University;
By analyzing the changing situation of feed price and pig breeding cost in recent years, the proportion of feed cost and piglet cost in total breeding cost basically maintained stable, but the human cost proportion showed ascending trend; compound feed price and corn price are the major cause to lead to the increase in feed cost, but the impact of bean pulp on feed cost is not significant; the compound feed price fluctuation will impact the piglet cost in short period, and the impact tends to be stable in the long run; There exists correlation among the cost factors of pig breeding, in which feed cost is the important reason to constitute piglet cost variation. Based on the above conclusions, this paper puts forward suggestions: strengthening the early warning mechanism of pig feed price fluctuation, encouraging feed scientific and technological innovation; striving to raise feed conversion ration; improving scaled and professional breeding, and strengthening environmental facility construction.
