Spatial Relevance and Spillover Effect of Technological Innovation of Regional High-tech Industry

This paper studies the spatial correlation and spillover effects of technological innovation in high-tech industry using spatial econometric analysis based on the provincial panel data of high-tech industry of China from 2000 to 2016. The results show that:( 1) From the overall picture,the technological innovation of high-tech industry in various provinces of China has a positive spatial correlation and the degree of correlation is on the rise; from the local point of view,the eastern provinces show a positive correlation of"high-high"type,while the western provinces show a"low-low"type of positive correlation. This situation has not changed substantially over time.( 2) The technological innovation of high-tech industry in one province and the technology spillover of other provinces have a positive impact on its total value of high-tech industry,and the technological spillover effect of other provinces exceeds its own technological innovation.( 3) The spillover effect of human capital weight matrix is the largest under three spatial weight matrices,which proves that human capital is an important factor influencing technological innovation spillover in high-tech industry.
