Application of WAMS in Low Frequency Oscillation Monitoring in Jilin Power Grid

As a means of real time dynamic monitoring in electric power system,WAMS plays an important role in complicated and large scale electric power system.The application experiences in Jilin electric power grid has been presented based on the introduction of real time monitoring and analysis method of low frequency oscillation.The cause of low frequency oscillation in No.2 unit in Huaneng Changchun Thermal Power Plant has been analysed and the effective counter-measurements has been proposed.
