Study on Photocatalyst Reduction Cr(Ⅵ) by Nanoparticles of Fe_2O_3

The photocatalyst reduction Cr (Ⅵ) in the suspension system of nano particles of Fe2O3 was studied. The optimum photocatalyst reduction conditions are as follows. H2SO4 concentration of the aqueous solution is 0.5mol/dm~3, the mass concentration of Cr (Ⅵ) is 80 mg/dm~3, the solution volume is (50 cm~3), the quantity of catalyst is 0.2 g, the time of photo radiation is 5 h, and the photo reduction ratio of Cr (Ⅵ) is over 87%. The influence of inorganic ion on photocatalyst reduction was also examined. The experimental results showed that the photo catalyst reduction Cr (Ⅵ) is available and it follows one-order reaction rates: lnC=-0.362 3t+3.908
