Clinicopathological analysis of 14 cases with malignant lymphoma in salivary glands

In this study,14 cases with malignant lymphoma in salivary glands had been diagnosed pathologically were reported.They were 11 male and 3 female. The averave age of them was 54.35years.The process of disease was ranging from l0 days to 10 months,Among these tumors,7 were situated in parotid glands and submaxillary glands respetively. Previous to operation,they were misdiagnosed as mixed tumor of salivary gland,submaxillary lymphadenitis or parotitos.Postoperative pathological diagnosis showed one of them was Hodgkin's mixed cellular type,11 cases were non-Hodgkin's B-cellular type and 2 cases were T-cellular type. Among them,7 cases were intranodular type and 5 cases were extranodular type,and one was diffused extranodular type(Burkitt's lymphoma).After operation,they were followed by chemotherapy of COP or COPP plan and/or local radiotherapy. Twelve of them were satisfactorily cured and followed-up for 1～10 years without recurrence found except one child died shortly after treatment and the other one was lost to contact.Finally,a discussion on the clinical characteristics,pathological diagnosis and treatment was held.
