Reflection on the Relation between Education and Culture

Culture plays a direct role on higher education. Economy and politics exert influences on higher educationwith culture as the medium. The cultural functions of higher education, including the inheritance, selection, criticism,renovation of culture, are the basic functions of higher education. Some related problems on the development of highereducation in China are also analyzed from the cultural perspective.
