Cultural Background and Mother Tongue Education of A Learning Subject

The mastery of one's mother tongue represents one's cultural accomplishment. It is very important to link alearning subject's mother tongue with his cultural background in Chinese teaching in the middle schools.Nowadays,English enjoys a more central position than Chinese. Therefore, Teachers who teach Chinese in the middle school areresponsible for protecting feeling for Chinese. They should instill a strong cultural awareness into their students and showthem the cultural connotation and usage of Chinese while training their language abilities, so as to keep the pureness ofChinese and the unique character of Chinese culture.
