A Corpus-based Comparative Study of Semantic Prosody of English Middle Degree Adverbs

In the process of English language use, many English vocabulary collocations have special semantic tendencies, such as the habitual collocation of words with similar semantic characteristics, which leads to the appearance of these similar semantics in high frequency. This is the semantic rhyme phenomenon. In this paper, the author makes a comparative study of the semantic prosody of degree adverbs by means of Corpus-based comparative analysis of intermediate prepositions, hoping to find out the problems and characteristics that are difficult to detect in the interlanguage output of students' English learning.
