CHEN Yun(College of Management,Zhejiang University,Hangzhou,Zhejiang,310058)
Studies have shown that the total educational investment in our country was slowly developing and relatively experienced a drastic fluctuation before 1978 but developed fast and continuously after 1978.We find that GDP,fiscal revenues, fiscal expenditure and personal deposits balance greatly impact on investment in edu-cation by means of Ridge regression and Panel data regression. The growth of the total of the investment in edu-cation benefits from the fiscal expenditure growth even more. The characteristic of "three points up / three points down"appears in the investment structure in education.Educational investment has great difference between pro-vinces,especially the percentage of education funds in GDP proportion. The maximum proportion in province is more than 3.7 times that of the minimum province.
