Australian Dairy Farmers and Its Implications for the Sustainable Development of China——Farmers Professional Cooperatives

Since the Farmers' Professional Cooperative(FPC)Law of China was passed in 2006,FPCs have entered into a rapid development period in China.This paper outlines Australian Dairy Farmers and summarizes its characteristics first,and then analyzes current status and issues of FPCs.Based on these,five implications are put forward in the end,which include:①it is necessary and crucial for Chinese Government to support the establishment and development of FPCs;②the fundamental basis for the development of FPCs is commercialization and specialization of agriculture;③an unambiguous,straightaway and understandable rationale is essential for the sustainable development of FPCs;④FPCs should concentrate on improving organizational performance;and ⑤with the development of FPCs,cooperative federation should be allowed to establish,so as to better improve FPC's functions.
