On All-factor Productivity,Technological Advances and Efficiency in China's Orange Industry

The paper,by adopting Malmqusit index,selected data samples on production cost and benefits of citrus reticulata and tangerine from Compiled Book on Cost and Benefits of Agricultural Produce in China,and calculated the variation of all factor productivity of these two products by examining one production index and three input indexes.The results showed that growth were achieved in all factor productivity in these two fields from 2003 to 2009 of which technical progress fluctuated most apparently while efficiency index remained relatively stable.Among the major provinces studied,most of them experienced obvious fluctuation in terms of all factor productivity.Besides,most provinces witnessed a contrast between technical advances and loss of agricultural efficiency.
