Analysis and Simulation of Air Distribution in a Data Center

Thermal management of data centers is becoming a challenging task as the current trends toward in creasing electronic component heat dissipated per area or volume.This paper investigated the environment condition in a data center by computational fluid dynamics simulation using the original measured data.Velocity and temperature fields in it have been compared in terms of different height,the air distribution characteristic was obtained and then the rationality was evaluated.This work presented proof for energy saving retrofit and executing effective thermal management in data center.
