Horizontal Bias Combustion Modification and Combustion Adjusting Experiment on a 200 MW Unit Boiler

An experimental investigation has been conducted in order to detect the reason for serious slagging and insufficient output of a 200 MW unit boiler.Investigations show that high coking coal use,large width-depth ratio of the furnace,big tangentially combustion design are the main reasons for the existing problems.Based on above studies,a comprehensive technological modification scheme is designed carefully and carried out strictly,including waterwall covering on the zone of furnace waterwall exposure near the burners,horizontal bias combustion adoptiong and air pressure adjusting of big secondary air box.With the help of mentioned measures,the serious slagging has been alleviated effectively and the maximum continious output of the boiler has been increased to 670 t/h from 560 t/h.
