Calibration and Analysis of Sensor Model for Multi-Camera Rig System

In the calibration of mobile measurement system,it is an important step to accurately calculate the exterior orientation elements of panoramic camera.Focusing the problem that using apanoramic picture to calculate exterior orientation elements,firstly introduce the principle of ideal sensor model and rigorous sensor model for multi-camera rig system.In order to evaluate these two models,space resection experiments based on panoramic image under indoor and outdoor condition is carried out,the least squares method to calculate exterior orientation parameters of spherical coordinate is used.Finally,the comparison between accuracy of two kinds of sensor models is compared.In conclusion,some systematic error exists in the ideal sensor model,but when the distance between object and camera is large,it has a little effect on the measurement precision.On the contrary,the rigorous model handles systematic error;therefore it can achieve better results,which has some value for people who use panoramic photo to do photographic surveying.
