Study on the Identification of Urban Center System Based on GIS and POI——A Case Study of Shanghai

Urban public center has a high concentration of public service facility and commercial service facility.With the rapid development speed,the traditional research method by sampling survey cannot meet the need any more.Network big data from map services website provide a new method to do urban research.With extensive geospatial intelligence and location attribute,urban point of interest(POI)is open to the public.Use POI data and Kernel density estimation(KED)model to quantitative research spatial distribution regularities and to identify the urban center system of Shanghai.The result shows that Shanghai city center system identified by POI data,has one main center,and the sub-center still need further development.Also,comparing the result with the urban public center system determined by Shanghai City Master Plan(1999—2000),it provide optimization suggestions for future development.
