A Study of the Transformation of Teacher Education in High-level Comprehensive Universities

It is an important way to promote the quality of teacher education by establishing colleges of teacher education to implement the transformation of teacher education in high-level comprehensive universities. The public attributes of university and teacher education and the basic functions of university determine the transformation of teacher education in high-level comprehensive universities in China. The teacher education in high-level comprehensive universities should realize the transformation from research talent training in pedagogy to the three-dimension teacher training which combines talent training with scientific research and social service to activate the vitality of educational discipline and make greater contribution to the construction of teacher team in primary and middle schools. This is the fundamental way for educational discipline in high-level comprehensive universities and even the entire educational discipline to fulfill its disciplinary functions.
