Fast face modeling based on features and flexible mesh model

A simple but effective method is presented for realistically simulating particular human face. Provided frontal and side facial images and a general 3D polygonal facial mesh with face features, facial feature lines are fitted in the method based-on wavelet analysis. Based on relative displacement between the particular person's feature lines and the general model's feature lines, all the point's variations are performed to fit particular facial geometry. Then, after texture mapping, a virtual face is brought which can be observed in any direction and can make different expressions by combining different muscular vectors' motion. The method can be realized on PC plat easily and quickly.
