Hierarchical representation of wavelet in reverse engineering

With too much data storage and calculation in free curves remodeling of reverse engineering, the hierarchical representation of wavelet is applied to reduce the amount of controlling vertexes on quasi-uniform B-spline curves, and make compressed curves reflect original curves’ approximate shape. The experiment shows that the method implements hierarchical compressing curves, simplifies data processing, reduces remodeling cost, and adapts to engineering demand.
