With the defects in most XML structural joint methods that the temporary sorting for input data and creating index costs decrease the performance too much if the input element set does not have indexes, or is out-of-order, the classical Stack-Tree-Desc algorithm and B+ tree index optimization algorithm are analyzed. A novel strategy that isn’t limited to any external index is proposed and implemented. The experiment results indicate that it outperforms Stack-Tree-Desc algorithm.
