Nonlinear finite element analysis on laminated glass panel based on APDL

To make the calculating results closer to the actual mechanical characteristics of laminated glass panel,the means such as parameterized modeling,parameterized applying load and solving,and parameterized post-processing displaying are used to implement the simulation analysis on it based on ANSYS APDL,and the large displacement nonlinear effects are considered. During the process of finite element analysis on the common four sides support form of laminated glass panel,not only the nonlinear effect on membrane stress of glass panel but also the effect of Polyvinyl Butyral(PVB) film in interlayer on the bearing capacity of laminated glass,that is not considered in Technical Code for Glass Curtain Wall Engineering,are considered. The analysis result is compared with the Code. Based on many finite element analysis results of different laminated glass panels,the calculating formulas of laminated glass under static load is revised for the Code and the corresponding revised coefficients are given to make the formulas meet the actual mechanical characteristics. The results can provide good reference value for the design of curtain wall.
