On-line test technique of polymer material PVT property and its application in CAE simulation of injection molding

As to the issue that the off-line test method cannot reflect the actual changing course of PVT parameters of polymer material during injection molding,and the result error is large when the parameters are used in CAE simulation,an on-line test technology and devices about polymer material PVT relationships which is based on injection molding machine is researched and developed.The PVT parameters obtained from the on-line test and off-line test devices are applied in CAE simulation of injection molding respectively,and the simulation results are compared with the actual injection molding samples.The results show that the simulation shrinkage rate obtained by using on-line test PVT parameters is closer to the actual value.The state equation of PVT relationship based on the on-line test technology can significantly improve the accuracy of numerical simulation,which provides an important technical support for CAE simulation analysis of polymer molding and advanced manufacturing.
