Injection molding gating system scheme and warpage analysis of automobile dashboard

To meet lightweight requirement of automobile design,the injection molding process of dashboard are analyzed under different gate models.The filling process inside mould cavity is analyzed through building three types of gate models,and the result indicates that the welding line numbers not only depend on gating system layout,but also are related to the product structure.The filling pressure under the three types of gate models is analyzed,and the results indicate that the pressure loss decreases with the increase of gate numbers,but the welding line numbers increase.The product shrinkage distribution of four-gate model and five-gate model is basically same,and the product shrinkage distribution of three-gate model is slightly higher.The product warpage of the three types of models is analyzed by High Performance Finite Volume Method(HPFVM),and the results indicate that the total warpage distribution of three-gate model is the widest and the one of five-gate model is the narrowest.
