Analysis of influence on volume efficiency of inlet and outlet cavities of cycloidal pump based on CFD

To improve the volume efficiency of cycloidal pump,the internal flow field of pump is optimized to reduce the reflux and cavitations.The internal flow field of cycloidal pump is numerically simulated by CFD method.Then the effect on pump volume efficiency caused by the crescent shape inlet and outlet cavities is quantitatively analyzed.The simulation results show that the distribution of the internal flow field and the volume efficiency can be improved by properly reducing G0 and enlarging F0.The simulation results can provide some reference for the structure design of cycloidal pump.
