Temperature field and thermal stress analysis for cooler under transient working condition

As to the fatigue failure problem of cooler induced by the continual thermal shock during the life time of power plant,the analysis model of temperature and stress fields of the tube side structure of equipment is built by ANSYS,the thermal stress under transient thermal shock working condition is calculated,and then the fatigue strength of the equipment is evaluated according to the ASME rules.The main reason and locations of the crack occurred on the cooler is given by the numerical simulation result,which provides reference for the improvement of the structural safety design.
