Research on Load Distribution of Access Point in Wireless LAN

In an infrastructure wireless LAN,one station always selects AP to connect is based on the received signal strength indicator(RSSI).This approach may cause low performance and low resource utilization rate of the networks.To this problem,approaches are proposed in some literatures,but they neither consider the true load of station,nor increase the handoff times of station.In this paper,a novel load distribution algorithm based on RSSI,load and other factors is proposed.Simulation results show the performance of the proposed algorithm is higher than others.
