Fretting damage resistance of Ni-Tl-B coating prepared in plating solution of different thallium salt contents

YANG Ling-ling,SONG Dan-lu,SHI Xiao(College of Manufacturing Science and Engineering,Southwest University of Science and Technology,Mianyang Sichuan 621010,China)  
Both of common Ni-B coating with lead nitrate as stabilizer and Ni-Tl-B coating with thallium salt as stabilizer was prepared based on steel 45 substrates.Surface morphology was observed with scanning electron microscope,and the fretting damage resistance was tested on fretting wear tester.The result shows that the coating surface morphology and fretting damage resistance are affected by the contents of thallium salt in the plating solution,Ni-Tl-B coating has outstanding fretting damage resistance,and optimal content of thallium salt in solution is 2 mg/L.
