Effect of solution temperature on electrochemical properties of Al-Zn-Sn-Ga-Bi alloy

Al-Zn-Sn-Ga-Bi anode alloy was treated by solution treatment at the temperatures of 460,480 and 500℃ for 4 h respectively.The electrochemical properties in artificial seawater of the alloy with solution treatment were tested by galvanostatic method.Microstructure was characterized by OM,SEM and EDS.The variation of polarization process with different solution temperatures were also studied by polarization curves analysis.The results show that the alloy of solution treatment at 480 ℃ exhibits better comprehensive properties with negative operating potential,high efficiency of 95.6% and uniform corrosion.
