BIAN Shao-bin;School of Philosophy and Social Development,Shandong University;
Considering the rightful condition based on the original contract and united will,its fundamental meaning and purpose is to make sure that the everyone's free actions can be in agreement with others in accordance with a universal law,and it is also the normative ground for confirming the external acquisition and private possession. Kant's approach of justifying property not only solved the dilemma concerning the problem of possession,but also made significant distinction with the traditional theory of natural law and social contract by transcendental argument on the universal principle of external acquisition through the idea of practical reason. The interpretation on the value orientation of public autonomy and universal freedom in Kant's theory of property will be helpful for us to understand the Kant's writings coherently and explore the deep connection between meaning of the public nature and moral autonomy of Kantian philosophy,then provide the heuristic resources for thinking political legitimacy and construction of a community with shared future for mankind.
