Since China adopted the reform and open-up policy, the concept of"class"has been gradually diluted, and the concept of "group"has been highlighted as a major change in China's class-group policy. This policy change has a certain internal logic. It is the result of the Party's act of upholding and developing Marxism on the historical condition where public ownership has become the dominant form of ownership and there is no fundamental opposition of the possession of the means of production. It meets the practical needs of the building of socialism, and has a sound theoretical basis. This change is of important implications for adjusting class-group relations, promoting social integration, and accelerating the building of a modern society governance pattern featuring sharing and co-development.
