M orita therapy in treatment of schizophrenia.

Objective: To determine the adjunctive effcts of Morita therapy in treatment of schizophrenic in-patients. Method: Fifty subjects were randomly sampled from 86 schizophrenics which conformed to the inclusion criteria, and divided into Morita therapy group and control group. SANS, BPRS and NOISE were used to evaluate the efficacy before treatment and 8 week after treatment. Results: After treatment, there were significant differences in scores of SANS and NOISE, but not B.PRS, between two groups. Conclusion: Morita therapy may have an adjunctive effects on the patients with schizophrenia.
