Study on the perfomance of SiO_2 reinforcing dental resin composites

The Bisphenol A-glycidyl methacrylate(Bis-GMA) and Triethylene glycol dimethacrylate(TEGDMA) as resin matrix,the different particle size SiO2 as enhanced fill was successfully fabricated dental resin composites.Study the influences of the content of SiO2 to shrinkage rate,bending strength of the dental composite resin.The results showed that: as the increase in the proportion of SiO2 in the filler,the bending strength of dental composite resin first increased and subsequently decreased.With the increase of the content of SiO2,the polymerization volume shrinkage of dental composite resin presented a decreasing trend,and the content of SiO2 was 70 wt%,the polymerization volume shrinkage was 2.4%.
