Experimental research on the effects of fuel delivery advance angle to compression-ignition engine fueled with biodiesel

Retarding fuel delivery timing is an effective method to reduce NOx emission of compressionignition engine,and the effects of retarding fuel delivery timing on NOx emission and performance of engine fueled with biodiesel are investigated through experiments.The experimental results show that,retarding fuel delivery timing can reduce NOx emission significantly and worsen the power and fuel economy slightly,meanwhile when the fuel delivery advance angle is retarded for 2°CA,the soot emission reduced.
