Application of urban impervious surface extraction based on TM image——taking Guangzhou City as an example

Remote sensing technology with big fast data acquisition and detection range,and being affected by small terrain,the measurement is becoming more and more widely-applied to various fields.Taking Guangzhou City,Guangdong Province as the research area to extract the impervious surface information this paper uses remote sensing technology based on TM image.A detailed study is made on the biophysical component index BCI and distance weighted algorithm.BCI index method is used to extract the impervious surface information and distance weighted algorithm method to calculate Guangzhou aggregation of impervious surface density.At the moment,it is implemented by the IDL programming.The results show this method can reflect the distribution of the impervious surface in Guangzhou from the large scale.
