Influence on two different nasal cavity nursing methods on postoperative patients with pituitary tumor

Objective: To probe into the method of changing dressings on acroteric skin of nasal cavity for postoperative pituitary tumor patients. Method: A total of 64 cases of pituitary tumor patients underwent hypophysiectomy through approach of mouth-nose-sphenoidal sinus were divided into both test and control groups. Patients of the test group were changed dressings by adopting normal saline cleaning and disinfected with alcohol. Patients of the control group were changed dressings as routine that is normal saline and dioxogen cleaning and disinfected with alcohol. Result: All two groups patients had not been infected on their incision area. The temperature of all cases were under 37.5 ℃. There was no significant difference between the two groups in terms of the healing of incisions. Conclusion: It is simple, convenient, and timesaving to change dressings by adopting normal saline cleaning and disinfected with alcohol for patients underwent hypophysiectomy. And patients feel more comfortable.
