Deformation Analysis of Flexspline of Harmonic Drive under the Load Condition

The approximate distribution of meshing force between teeth is calculated by Matlab software.Using the finite element method,the flexspline-wave generator contact models under no-load and load conditions are established in ANSYS Workbench environment.The circumferential and radial deformations of the flexspline under the two conditions are obtained.The test results show that under no-load condition,the deformation of flexspline only relates to the shape of the wave generator,under the load condition,the size of the load largely affects the circumferential deformation while has little influence on the radial deformation.The greater the size of the load is,the greater the maximum radial deformation becomes.Finite element method can accurately calculate the displacement distribution of the flexspline,thus providing a feasible method for the research of the flexspline deformation.
