Modal Analysis of Shaft Vibration for Double Cardan Joint System

Shaft vibration analysis for the double cardan joint system in a type of aircraft flight control system is illustrated.Natural frequency and vibration mode of the system are calculated through establishing the shaft vibration equation of elastic shaft.The solid model of double cardan joint is built in the Pro/E,and then it is imported into ANSYS Workbench to analyze the modal.Comparing the results of theoretical calculation with simulation,we can verify the correctness of the analysis and analyze the factors contributing to natural frequency and vibration mode of the system shaft vibration.
