Thermal-Structural Direct Coupling Finite Element Analysis of Drum Brake

The contact stress field and friction heating temperature field are coupling effect during drum brake braking process,and in this process,the deformation of the structure and material property is influenced by the change of temperature.Meanwhile,the thermal boundary condition and temperature change are also changed by the deformation of structure.A nonlinear simulation model of drum brake is established by using ANSYS direct coupling field method,the effect of friction is considered,the stress field,temperature field and contact pressure distribution between friction pair change over the time of an emergency braking are simulated.
