Shift Schedule of Electrical Vehicle based on the Optimization of Motor Efficiency

The parameter matching and control strategy optimization is one of the important means to improve the performance of electric vehicles.Aiming at electric vehicle equipped with 3-speed automated manual transmission,an optimization method for shift schedule based on optimal efficiency is put forward,and the optimal efficiency shift schedule is established.Furthermore,the performance of both optimal efficiency and optimal driveability shift schedules are compared.The influences of both shift schedules on the vehicle performance including the acceleration time from 0to 100km/h and the energy consumption during an ECE+EUDC cycle are analyzed through system modeling and simulation by using MATLAB/Simulink.Results show that the acceleration time of the optimal driveability shift schedule is 7.4%less than that of the optimal efficiency shift schedule,while the energy consumption of the optimal efficiency shift schedule during the ECE+EUDC cycle is 9.4%less than that of the optimal driveability shift schedule.
