Stepwise Regression Analysis of Yield and Traits of 13 Hybrid Cotton Varieties

The paper studied the effects of 6 agronomic characters of 13 hybrid cotton varieties on lint yield and the correlation between yield and yield traits. using stepwise regression,path analysis and correlation analysis method. The results showed that: the boll number,boll weight and boll number had negative direct contribution significantly on lint yield,plant height,lint percentage and seed index were significantly positive contribution,the correlation coefficient was highest between yield and lint percentage.
