Physiological Response of Syzygium grijsii to Synergistic Spraying of Amino Acid and Gibberellin

Plant physiological activities can be regulated by gibberellic acid and amino acids. In order to deal with the problem of dead branches during the cultivation process of Syzygium grijsii from physiological view,an orthogonal experiment was conducted to assess the interaction of gibberellin and amino acid against the resistant physiology of Syzygium grijsii.The result showed that:( 1) spraying of gibberellin and amino acid had significant effect on leaf pigment content of Syzygium grijsii,except that amino acids had little effect on carotenoids. And there were significant interactions between gibberellin and amino acid on chlorophyll b content and chlorophyll a / b;( 2) except for a few treatments,application of gibberellin and amino acid increased the SOD and POD activity significantly,and the interaction of synergistic spraying had significant effect on POD activity;( 3) in most treatments,synergistic spraying of gibberellin and amino acid could enhance the contents of total nitrogen,soluble protein,soluble sugar and starch in leaves; In addition,root activity also had positive response to the synergistic spraying.All the physiological indexes of resistance were most promoted,at the intermedicte concentration of gibberellic acid( 100 mg / L) and amino acids( 4 m L / L),except that the content of total nitrogen in leaves was the highest corresponding with the highest concentration of amino acids.These responses of Syzygium grijsii to synergistic spraying of gibberellin and amino acid had positive effects on delay of leaf senescence,increase of resistance and reduction of dead branches.It also had practical significance for of cultivation and maintenance Syzygium grijsii.
