Study of Resistance of Epoxy - modified Phenolic Resin to Medium in Oil Well

Li Hui Li Wenjun (Chemistry Department, School of Applied Science, University of Science and Technology of Beijing, Beijing 100083)
The resistance of epoxy - modified phenolic resin to medium in oil well was mainly discussed. The chemical stability of modified and unmodified phenolic resins in the media of water, acid, alkali, salt and diesel oil were compared. The effects of curing temperature and curing time on the resistance of consolidated core to medium were studied. The results showed that the resistance of epoxy - phenolic resin to medium was greatly impoved and the increase of curing temperature and the lengthening of curing time were beneficial to the improvement of resistance of phenolic resin.
