Diagnosis and Treatment of Angular Intrauterine Pregnancy ——An Analysis of 26 Cases

Twenty six cases of angular intrauterine pregnancy during 1989~1999 were analyzed retrospectively.Results: Thirteen cases were diagnosed by the combination of gynecologic and ultrasonic examination.Thirteen cases (50%) were misdiagnosed,11 for ectopic pregnancy and 2 for others.The treatments included salpingectomy and ipsilateral cornual resection in 14 cases,curettage in 5 cases,hysterectomy in 3 cases,cornual repair in 2 cases and 2 cases with chemotherapy.Conclusions:The combination of gynecologic,ultrasonic examination and laparoscopy is helpful to early diagnosis of angular intrauterine pregnancy which rarely occurs.Basing upon the nature of the disease,the main therapeutic interventions are salpingectomy plus ipsilateral cornual resection and /or curettage,under the guidance of B ultrasonography or endoscopy.
