Crack propagation simulation of ceramic material at sliding contact

HU Jian-feng;LIAO Chuan-wei;LI Lin-tao;Sany Heavy Industry Company Limited;  
Analyse of cyclinder and SIC ceramic material at sliding contact with finite element analysis platform as ABAQUS software,it used Extended Finite Element Method( XFEM) and maximum principal stress to simulate crack propagation action for the whole silding contact. It obtained the maximum principal stress and crack propagation path and crack growth angle direction,which provided measuring angle for practical production process' s nondestructive test.
