Analysis of frame structure cracking damage based on concrete damaged plasticity model

LIU Shu-bo;LIU Wu;Shenyang Jiandu Supervision Company of Construction Engineering;College of Civil Engineering and Architecture,Liaoning Technical University;  
Based on the ABAQUS software,a 12-story frame structure is modeled with refined finite element method and the nonlinear time-history analysis is carried out to study the damage and crack propagation of the frame structure subjected to seismic excitation. This paper discusses the applicability and problems to predict the overall damage and crack propagation for reinforced concrete structure by using the concrete damaged plasticity model,providing theoretical basis for structural design and maintenance.
