CT Findings and Analysis of Stage Ⅲ Pneumoconiosis with Pulmonary Tuberculosis

Objectives To analyze the distribution and the characteristic of tuberculosis through CT findings of the patients with stage Ⅲ pneumoconiosis.Methods 62 cases with stage Ⅲ pneumoconiosis confirmed by Huaibei Mining AG Group from January 1990 to December 2010 were selected as research subjects.All the patients were scanned by Philips row spiral CT with general,thin-layer and high-resolution to observe and compare the CT images of the three sets of examination methods.The distribution characteristics and secondary lesions of tuberculosis should be observed too.Results The detection rate of tuberculosis by high-resolution CT scan was 74.19%,which was significantly higher than that of conventional CT group and thin-layer CT group.The detection rate of satellite lesions,cavity,and calcification by high-resolution CT scan was higher than the other two groups too.High-resolution CT images showed that tuberculosis lesions located in the right upper lobe or the two upper lobes;and secondary changes of pulmonary tuberculosis were based on lung cavity and calcification(P 0.05),so there was statistical significance.Conclusion The incidence of patients of stage Ⅲ pneumoconiosis combined with pulmonary tuberculosis was higher,and high-resolution CT scan can easily detect tuberculosis.CT findings of tuberculosis patients mainly indicated cavity and calcification.
