Operation on Children with Obstructive Sleep Apnea Hypopnea Syndrome

Objective To analyze the causes of OSAHS(Obstructive Sleep Apnea Hypopnea Syndrome,OSAHS) in children and to investigate the clinical effect of operation on children with OSAHS.Methods The patients were treated with tonsillectomy with high frequency electrocautery and(or) adenoid surgical resection with 70° nasal endoscope under combined intravenous anesthesia.Results The totally effective rate was 99.4% in all 387 cases.Conclusion Tonsillectomy and adenoid surgical resection is one of the effective methods in the treatment of children with OSAHS.
